Episode 59 – Being at your competitive best for 9th Edition

In Episode 59, the guys go through some of the ways they are preparing for the new edition of 40k, and things they are doing to stay competitive. With an edition change, there’s always going to be resistance and negativity, as well as the obvious changes in power and the meta. Our key message is for players to stay grounded and look at things objectively, and we discuss some of the things we will be doing personally to do this.

Episode 58 – Making the most of the ITC Secondaries

On Episode 58, Dineeth and Luke dive deep into the ITC secondaries. The guys break down some game data provided to us through Down Under Pairings, and go into some of the selection criteria that payers should consider for each of them. They also break down armies that are particularly good at scoring certain secondaries, and finish off with some of the most popular and highest scoring secondaries that have been taken against some of the most successful factions in the current state of the game.

This is one of our longer episodes, but we felt we needed to take the time on each secondary mission to really analyse the importance having a plan during the one or two minutes we spend pre-game selecting them!

Episode 57 – Underplayed Factions… and new music?

That’s right. You heard it. We have new theme music. But more importantly, we’re talking 40k!

On this episode the guys discuss the codices of Death Guard, Harlequins, Necrons and Custodes. We dive into what makes these armies difficult to play, but we also go into ways to make them usable, function and maybe even win a few competitive games! Also… we try and play God and wishlist what changes could really make these factions competitive. Maybe we’re just wishlisting, but we really enjoyed making this episode and exploring different aspects of the game and the rules.

Episode 56 – Grey Knights, and Staying Motivated!

On this Episode, the guys discuss some of the common ways people may have seen Grey Knights being played in the competitive meta. Luke breaks down his thoughts on their release in Ritual of the Damned, and discusses some combos he likes, and some things to be aware of.

The guys also take time to discuss keeping their motivation alive during isolation – with most of the world having some strict measures on distancing, and many game stores being unavailable for actual 40k games, we discuss new ways to stay connected, stay engaged and ultimately ways to get us through this tough period, and out into the sunlight on the other end!
